I Love Peter Rabbit

Peter Rabbit is having a bit of a revival at the moment it seems and seeing as it is his 110th anniversary it feels more than a little well deserved! The tales of Beatrix Potter – Peter Rabbit, Jemima Puddle Duck, Squirrel Nutkin and pals have a special place in my heart. My parents would by me a book every birthday, Christmas, Easter etc each dated and dedicated on the inside cover until I had the whole collection in my very much treasured Peter Rabbit bookshelf.20130126-143217.jpg
I was very interested to see Peter Rabbit brought to life CGI style at Christmas on CBeebies – did you see it? You can meet Peter Rabbit and his sisters delivering Christmas presents and decorating the Christmas tree on the CBeebies website. I do hope he will be appearing again with more adventures as Peter Rabbit CGI stylie is really very cute, no?
He’s not restricted to books and programmes either, landing in my inbox this week has been these rather lovely posters from Spineless Classic prints. The tales have been printed in their entirety on a poster they’re fully legible so the stories can be enjoyed day in, day out as a piece of wall art. Great for any nursery or playroom from www.spinelessclassics.com

From bookshelf to screen to your wall to walking down the street as you can even dress your little one, if they are under two, in limited edition items from Gap. I love the rabbit sweater and the body suits too, sadly my guys are too big for the range but it is at the top of my giving and gifting list.

How lovely, we didn’t see the CGI version but it looks lovely. I was always crazy for Winnie the Pooh as a child and I love the classic style over the Disney version but am loving Pooh bear stories read by Robert Webb on the Disney channel. I find there is something magical about the classic stories like Peter Rabbit, Pooh Bear & Rupert the Bear.
