Award-winning British brand Childs Farm sent some of their clinically tested natural toiletries for young and sensitive skin to try out. I have been a personal user and advocate for natural and plant based products for our whole family for a number of years now. Latest studies have shown that we actually acquire more toxins through skin absorption and inhalation than we do through the foods that we eat. Do you know what’s in your products?

I am not alone. The demand for natural skincare products has soared in recent years, as have companies’ with products to meet this demand. According to the Soil Association, the UK’s leading organic-certification body, the organic beauty and wellbeing sector grew 13 per cent in the last year.

We tried the bubble bath, body and hair wash, shampoo, conditioner and baby wipes. The bottles are all beautifully illustrated packaging, they look great in the bathroom and would also make a lovely gift. Childs Farm uses natural ‘free-from’ ingredients and essential oils to produce mild, kind and delicious smelling toiletries that care for the delicate hair and skin of newborns, babies and children.

They really do smell good enough to eat and you can be reassured that none of the products contain parabens, SLSs, mineral oils or artificial colours. Often with free-from products they do the job but without the foam and show me a child who doesn’t like bubbles at bath time. I can confirm they foam – the shampoo, the body wash, the bubble bath they create lovely bubbly bath times.

Whats bath time without bubbles!?

Also in the range is a hair detangler which I will be keen to try as my daughters hair seems to get unbelievably tangled overnight and is the source of many school morning tears.

The full range of products is available at www.childsfarm.com, with nationwide stockists including Boots, Tesco, Asda, Morrisons and Ocado.
