Allow me to introduce you to one of my recent brand discoveries from the land of social media, manufacturer of super cool backpacks and bags – Goodordering.  Goodordering is an independent company run out of a flat on top of a bike shop in Hackney, East London. Founder and designer Jacqui Ma has designed bags for Puma, Virgin Atlantic, Microsoft and Debenhams and in 2012 went out on her own to design a small range of bags for urban cycling families. At the heart of Goodordering is the belief that if cycling is made more fun and accessible, more people will cycle more regularly and it will become safer and more beneficial to everyone.

If your little one is starting in reception make sure you read my post about what to expect when your child starts in reception first!

The range of bags include cycling bags, nappy change bags and toddler bags and school bags. The first range was inspired by Japanese school bags and 80s retro travel bags. 70s and 80s references also give the bags a touch of nostalgia. The bags all have multiple pockets, extra padded straps and are water-resistant and hardwearing. One of the key features of the range is the bags multi-functional design.

The brand name has a lovely back story too, it comes from ‘good ordering’ which comes from the joy and satisfaction of ordering well at a restaurant. “Our family often went out for meals together and after a very satisfying meal, we would all call out ‘Good ordering!’ to mum.” This brand incorporates all the values of family get-togethers and those captured moments of happiness.

As the end of another school year looms make sure you check out Goodordering when it comes to the new school year and new school bag shopping ahead of September.
