We celebrated the start of February half term on Friday with an after school playdate with Diva G’s BFF. Our Friday night ‘Flix with friends included an episode of Disney’s Descendants over an ice cream dessert under our Netflix Night In blanket.
We have also updated our watch list with some great educational viewing choices to keep those little brain cells stimulated over the next week. Some of the shows I plan for my to watch, enjoy and learn without realising include:
- Monster Math Squad with Max, Lily and Goo
- TEDTalks: Let Your Mind Wonder – a collection of TED-Ed lessons featuring collaborations between animators and educators.
- LIFE series explores an array of scientific and philosophical topics, discover the variety of life on Earth
- Secrets Of The Tower Of London is perfect for teenagers over half tern explore the history of The Tower of London as it evolved from a royal castle into a dungeon prison and finally an armoury and mint.
Family time this February will see us wrapped up warm and exploring the outside, followed by being wrapped up warm inside and taking genuine pleasure in making ordinary, every day things special. Enjoying warm drinks, popcorn, scented candle fragrances and lighting with a family movie makes for a cosy evening and childhood memories of laughter and togetherness.
We love being part of the Netflix #StreamTeam and never more so than when our “Netflix Night In” kit landed. Snacks and a blanket – we’re all in! We’ve been busy getting creative with the blanket and invented the “Netflix Blanket Burrito” – take one super sized blanket, two children and roll together – simples!
What do you need for your perfect Netflix Night In? On the sofa or in bed? Are your snacks sweet or savoury? What do you choose for your viewing pleasure?
